How to calculate your Life Path number
Reduce the month, the day and the year separately, then add them together and reduce again. Keep 11, 22 and 33 as master numbers instead of reducing them.
Example, 15 July 1990: month 7; day 15 → 1 + 5 = 6; year 1990 → 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19 → 1 + 9 = 10 → 1. Total 7 + 6 + 1 = 14 → 1 + 4 = Life Path 5.

What your Life Path number means
Numerology reads your Life Path as the main theme of your life: the kind of strengths you keep coming back to and the lessons that tend to repeat. It isn't a job title or a fate. Two people with the same number can live very different lives, but they often recognize the same pattern underneath, like a 1 who keeps starting things or a 6 who ends up looking after everyone.
How the Life Path is viewed
The Life Path is the best-known number in Western numerology, popular in magazines, birthday cards and social media. In India the same idea, built from the full date of birth, is called Bhagyank and is reduced all the way to a single digit so it can be linked to a planet. Many people read both and look at where they agree.
How it can help you
Use your number as a lens for one honest question: where does my main strength help me most, and where does it get in my way? A 5 might ask whether variety is fueling growth or avoiding commitment; a 4 whether structure is supporting them or boxing them in. It also makes a fun ritual on birthdays, comparing your number with a friend's.
About master numbers
If you got 11, 22 or 33, you have one of the master numbers. Numerology reads them as intensified versions of 2, 4 and 6, with bigger potential and more pressure. Read both meanings: the master number and its base.
An honest note
Numerology is a tradition for reflection, not a science. Your choices shape your life far more than any number does.
